My name is Emmelyn. I’m a teacher. Don’t ask me what grade I teach – I’ll probably just tell you “it’s complicated.” I work one-on-one with deaf and hard of hearing students of all different grade levels.
I have a love for beautiful and tasty things – and a desire to make them on my own. I used to not consider myself a “creative person,” but I love doing crafty things and that has started to help me become creative! Pinterest helps me find ideas and tutorials on how to be crafty. Lately, I’ve been doing less baking. Mainly because I like to eat. Usually whatever I’m baking. And that isn’t great for my waistline…
Because I usually need help with inspiration and ideas for my projects, I’m all about sharing. I am happy with the way some of my things have turned out and wanted to share my successes (and my mistakes) with others!
Another thing you may discover about me while reading my blog is that I have an addiction. To dancing. Country dancing, just to clarify. I love me some polka, two-step, country waltz and even the Cupid Shuffle or Footloose line dance somewhere in there.
I’m a bit of a mess. I like organization but it can never stay that way. I can’t cook or bake without messing something up in a recipe (thanks, mom, for taking my 15 million phone calls). I drop things daily. I trip A LOT, but rarely actually fall to the ground. And I mess up. A lot. I’m nowhere near perfect, but I’m made by God. Ephesians 2:8
